We’re just gonna call this a day…

Our power went off at 2:15 in the morning and never came back on until after 10:00 today.

This wouldn’t have been such a terrible thing if all of us weren’t miserably addicted to sound machines.

It took all of us about three minutes flat to be wide awake.
Is there anything more miserable than being exhausted and not able to sleep?
No. There’s not.
  The house was way.too.quiet.
Like…freakishly quiet.
While I was awake most of the night, I wondered why in the world our whole neighborhood lost power.
I couldn’t help but feel a little bit vulnerable.

Before I knew it, my mind had raced to a hundred different possibilities of things that could happen.
I think there was a movie about a whole city experiencing a black out.
Yeah.  Those were the kind of thoughts I had.

I tried my very best to get my husband to engage me in the paranoid conversation.
But, he wouldn’t budge…not even for one minute.

Needless to say,
I’m the kind of exhausted that leaves you nauseated with a headache and a serious case of ILL.

And, I’m fairly certain that the only thing that’ll make this day better is to head to my bed
and watch the season premiere of my most favorite show.

Good Night and Sweet Dreams and Happy Premieres!

Lissa - i love season premier week! Hope you don't sleep through it!

* French Farmhouse 425 * - ~*Oh what a night for you..yikes I dont like it at all when the powers out..kinda creepy! ;)Hope your night tonight is much more enjoyable and more noisy like you like it~* Hugs,Rachel

Tricia - A Rosy Note - Oh, I hate nights like that. I always need the fan on to sleep…a little white noise :) Hope you sleep better tonight!

Hailey - I know what you mean. We all have air filters running in our bedrooms, and when they're off, it's creepy quiet. I hate it. And you can hear EVERYTHING when the power is off.
Hope you have a better night tonight!

Traci - Why is it that at night our minds can wonder so easily? Enjoy your shows:)

Little Leslie - I hate waking up in the early morning. I have a really fertile imagination, and I live in earthquake country. When I owned a mobile home, the first time my washing machine went in to spin cycle, I headed for the doorway.

A Lasting First Impression - Tarah, Tarah, Tarah- Seriously you are my kindred spirit…with every post, I am amazed how much we are alike! Seriously this post couldn't be any more me….so weird. I hate loosing power…our family has fans in every room…very much dislike a quiet sleeping environment. I hope you have a great night sleep, all the pics of the beds are beautiful! I will be watching Greys right along with you!!! Hurray!

Farmgirl Paints - It was good. But of course all of Grey's anatomy is.

So sorry for your crummy night's sleep. We are addicted to sound machines too. We have 3 in our room. THREE! So needless to say we are screwed if the power ever goes out too. Maybe you can catch a nap today.

blondiensc - Oh I missed it last night, as I was feeling sick and tired too…pluk…but I have it recorded of course! It is pretty freaky when the power goes out, we once had it go out on Thanksgiving night, while we were eating, candles did the trick, that was fun! Happy Friday sweet Tara!

Karla @ {The Classy Woman} - My power didn't go up but I was up in the middle of the night too. I fell asleep with my laptop on and the light woke me up. LOL. I must have been really tired! I too get that nauseaus felling if I don't sleep enough hours.

I watched the premiere last night. I had to delete the series of my DVR. It's just not the same for me without Izze and George a year ago. Somehow I lost interest and I always looked forward to it. :(

Susan Tipton - I think I could sleep through anything in that gorgeous sleigh-bed you posted.

Hope you get some rest:)

Flower Patch Farmgirl - Dreamy bedroom photos! Hope tonight finds you snug as a bug in a rug.

Kristin @ My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia - OH NO!! Hope you have caught up on your sleep now! I dvr the gray's premiere, I can't wait to watch it!
XO

the lady of the house - Soooooooo disappointed – Cristina CAN'T marry Owen – ICK! & Meridith HAS to be pregnant still! WHATEVER! – I totally did Grey's on the DVR maybe I'll watch it again tonight to see if there's any possibility in me still getting my way. Ha!
