Exie & Carl & a winner for the give away

There were so many of you who emailed to ask about the cow print in our dining room.
I don’t think it ever occurred to me that there may be a few new readers who’ve never seen them.
You asked me for some more information on the print,
so I thought I’d give you what you asked for…plus a little more.
Because really, who doesn’t love a little background story?
I picked this cow print up in an amazing little town called Senoia, Georgia a couple years ago.
I had been wanting some cow art because I grew up around them.
I have such sweet memories of sitting on a log watching the cows graze in our pasture.

I have a few “not so fond” memories of being chased by bumper, our pet bull.
I fed him as a baby calf, so I was shocked when he chased me across the pasture.
Looking back, I guess pet and bull don’t ever really go together,
so I never should have been all that shocked.
All I know is my little legs ran me from the creek all the way up to the feeding stalls.
That poor bull would rue the day that he messed with me.
I’m pretty sure he became the beef that we ate on all that next year!

Anywho, I knew when I saw this print that I had to have it.
We took some old barn wood from my parents’ barn and made a makeshift frame for it.
I’m pretty sure it’s one of those pieces that I’ll never get tired of looking at in our home.
I’ve affectionately named our cows in the print Exie and Carl, after my dad’s parents.
They also had cows all my life,
and so many of my memories with my granddad involve watching him feed and tend to his cows.

I can’t even make out the name of the artist on the print, but I do know that a store in my hometown carries this print along with some other barn animal prints.

If you’re interested in the name of the store and their phone number,
you can email me and I’ll get it to you.
It may be that they could ship you one or order one for you if you’re interested.
Just FYI…I paid $80 for mine in Senoia, Georgia, and they were selling theirs for half that price.:)

The winner of the GREENS give away for IT WORKS! is from commenter # 21
She said,
“Twelve years ago, I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue. I had to quit teaching and for years I felt miserable. Doctors told me to exercise, but how could I when I couldn’t get my head off the pillow? Finally, I began deep water aerobics at my local Y. Deep water is soothing and there is no impact on your joints. Three years later, I do 6 hours of water aerobics a week, I am 30 pounds lighter and I feel wonderful!”

I will send you an email to get your address so my friend can mail out your GREENS formula!
