Decking the Halls with Mostly Pinecones…

Well, we’ve given THANKS and now it’s time to deck some halls with bells of holly.
We’re starting today, and I wanted to show you some of the inspiration I’ve pulled from
good ole’ PINTEREST.
I love every single inch of this picture, but the main thing I’m emulating is our tree in a big basket.
This is the look that I’m going for at our front door.
We’ve got pine trees surrounding us, so coming up with pinecones won’t be a problem.
I’ve got baskets stacked in our garage that I’ll toss them in.
Surely, I can find a small charlie brown Christmas tree in the woods behind our house.
I need one like they show above to shove in a basket.
I wonder if it’ll be as effortless as they make it look?
doubt it.
love, love, love, love times a bajillion this look for my kitchen window.
I’m making two of these this year.
I think I’ll put them on either side of our mantle, which means they’ll need to be a bit smaller.
I put a framed chalkboard in our dining room, and I can’t wait to add a Christmas{y} quote to it.
Melaine from MY SWEET SAVANNAH did an amazing Hot Chocolate bar last year,
and I’m soooooo copying it this year in my kitchen.
There you have it…I’ll post pictures this week as we finish up!
I’m joining lots of linky parties that are being hosted out in blogland.

Melaine Thompson - ahhhh! Thanks for sharing 2 of my photos! I love the pinecone look! Ok, you copy my hot chocolate bar, I'm copying your pinecone topiaries! Let me know when you make them if you have any tips for me, and if I do mine first, I'll do the same! xoxo, Melaine

Tiffini Kilgore - LOVE all of that Tara. Can't wait to see what you are doing. We are going to pick out our tree today and I have an old basket I am going to use!

I really wanted a galvanized one but didn't want to buy anything…I think the basket will work. Wishing you many blessings today as you decorate. Praying your back is growing stronger too:)
love ya!

Jenn - This is so inspiring! We have access to lots of pine cones too and I love using natural elements in decorating. Pine cones, bittersweet, and yellow gingko leaves have all found their way inside this year.

The hot chocolate bar is a great idea too! I just repurposed an old hutch and I was just trying to decide what to do with it for Christmas. Perfect

Lemonade Makin' Mama - It's all going to be gorgeous! I love the chalkboard idea with the Christmasy quote. I'm loving my great big "Hallelujah"!

I'm also sorry you've been having the back issues… that was me all last year! (Mine turned out to be arthritis, but going off gluten really helped me…) Hope you begin feeling majorly better soon!

Blessings,
Sasha

Natasha in Oz - I have quite a few of those on my Pinterest board too. I am also going to copy that hot chocolate bar idea..isn't it gorgeous!
